Transparency is the only way to do business.

  • Hourly Pricing

    Hourly

Great for a new relationship with individual designers or researchers. Each team member has an hourly rate that is a direct payout to them. We then ask for a 30% Collective fee to cover all shared subscriptions and training programs in the Collective. We track using Toggl and only bill for used hours. We always set a cap on the number of hours each week and communicate with our client before we hit this amount.

    Example:
    Designer rate ($80) + 30% Collective shared cost ($24) = $104 per hour

  • Project-based pricing

    Project-based

Clients with pre-determined project requirements would benefit from this option. All in with no extra cost. Require a 25% upfront deposit with a flexible payment plan based on deliverable milestones.

    Example:
An application onboarding optimization project scope of $5000 includes research, design, and testing before asset delivery to the client for development.

  • Retainer pricing

    Retainer

Long-term clients may benefit from a retainer approach with a dedicated team of up to a certain number of hours commitment each week at a reduced cost.

    Example:
A $5,000 per week retainer scope guarantees the same designer, researcher, and/or project manager on the project.

User testing

Below are examples of pre-made project-based packages with activities and deliverables. Upfront with no hidden cost.

Research & Testing

Why? Startups waste a lot of time and money on early product development by making products no one wants or can use. Up-front research allows us to understand user needs, business goals, and market blank space to create clear and tight product/platform requirements that are evidence-based. User testing on an existing product/platform allows for quick learnings from actual users to make sure what we are creating is solving an actual user’s needs and is usable. It also allows for tight design and development requirements which save time and money down the line.

  • Goal: For a team who wants quick user feedback on the product and a general direction on where to focus on next

    Deliverables:

    1 Collaborative user workshop

1 Short user research program with 3 to 5 targeted user interviews

    1 Prioritized user feedback database

    Timeline: 2 weeks

Impact areas: Quick study allows for the identification of low-hanging fruits user experience problems that may impact acquisition conversion rates and user engagement rate

  • Goal: For a team that wants validated learnings through multiple sources

    Deliverables:

    1 Collaborative user workshop

1 Competitive study with up to 3 competitors

1 User research program with up to 10 targeted user interviews or in combination with user surveys

    1 Prioritized user feedback database

Top 10 product and design recommendations based on research

    Timeline: 2 - 4 weeks

Impact areas: A multi-touchpoint study with considerations of competitive market, business goals, and user feedback to improve acquisition rate, engagement rate, and to inform the upcoming product roadmap

  • Goal: For a team that wants to augment and fine-tune your decision-making process with a deep user feedback loop program

    Deliverables: 1 Collaborative user workshop

1 Competitive study with up to 10 competitors

1 User research program with up to 25 targeted user interviews and in combination with user surveys or other custom research methods

    1 Prioritized user feedback database

Top 50 product and design recommendations based on research

    Timeline: 4 - 8 weeks

Impact areas: An in-depth multi-touchpoint study with a focused goal to build, improve, and test a specific area of business KPI: acquisition, engagement, or retention to come up with a prioritized and actionable quarterly product roadmap

Design & Prototype

Why? The Design allows for the exploration of potential solutions based on identified problems and the market’s blank space during the Research & Testing phases. A Prototype allows for the expansion of the product/platform interactivities and moments of delight. Both create assets for further user testing and ensure tight development requirements which save time and money down the line.

  • Goal: For a team that wants a simple prototype to show off ideas to potential investors / founding members

    Deliverables:

    1 concept wireframe prototype

Up to 10 screens (desktop/mobile) of a concept wireframe design with an AI-powered prototype

    Timeline: 2- 4 weeks

Impact areas: Quick concept design allows for the identification of ideas for showcase or further testing

  • Goal: For a team who has some research and testing validating and who wants a more comprehensive prototype to demonstrate a key user flow identified by the market, business, and through past research, to be used in further market validation and user testing

    Deliverables:
1 User path workshop of up to 4 hours with the founding team

    1 concept wireframe prototype

Up to 20 screens (desktop/mobile) of a concept wireframe design and an AI-powered prototype

    Timeline: 4-6 weeks

Impact areas: Quick concept design allows for the identification of ideas for showcase or further testing

  • Sometimes it takes two to come up with a design scope based on current assets and development. This scope can include both concept wireframe design (commonly known as UX) as well as finished interface design (commonly known as UI.)
